POWDER BROW SERVICES

Ombré Powder Brows soft shading is the most customizable permanent makeup technique using a gentle machine. It’s great for all clients who want an individual customization to enhance their eyebrows with a soft & natural makeup-like finish.

If you are someone who has sparse or thinning brows that lacks shape or volume you will be a great candidate for this procedure. This treatment will help you create balance to your face by enhancing your eyebrow symmetry, color and volume making you look presentable 24/7.

Clients who have any of these listed contraindications are not a candidate of a permanent makeup procedure:

• Under 18 years of age

• Pregnant or nursing

• Diseases, infections, or transmittable blood conditions

• Susceptible to scarring and keloids

• Problematic skin and acne directly on brow area

• Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems and other related medical illnesses that may cause your inability to heal properly from wounds (doctor’s note required)

• Any other serious medical illnesses must be approved by a doctor with a note

Your deposit will be forfeited and appointment will be rescheduled if you do not follow these pre-care instructions:

3 days prior:

• No working out 24 hrs prior to the procedure

• No blood thinners such as caffeine, tea, energy drinks, aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol, etc. 48-72 hours prior

• Exfoliate the brow (or lip) area 1 week before your appointment to help prep the skin for easier application of ink pigmentation

Avoid 4 weeks prior:

• Tweezing, threading and waxing (we want to use as much of your natural hair growth as possible)

• Retinol and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products (avoid after as well until brows are fully healed)

• Brow dye or tint

• Tanning

• Chemical peels, microdermabrasion, harsh facials and skin treatments

Avoid 2 months prior:

• Botox and fillers near brow area

• Brow dye or tint

• Cosmetic enhancements and surgeries near area (must be fully healed)

Our preferred method of payment is cash (Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, or Venmo). Those who choose to pay with card will adhere to an additional 3% credit card processing fee.

Yes, we do have a "Consultation" option you can book! During that time, we'll walk through the treatment process, talk about your ideal brow shape, and address any questions or concerns before your actual appointment. The consultation is $30, and that amount gets applied toward the cost of your appointment.

If you'd rather skip the separate booking, that's fine too. Your original appointment already includes a consultation built right in.

Step 1: Consultation

During consultation your artist will ask you for all the references you have in order to have a clear understanding of your desired look. Please bring in photos of what you would like so we can help you choose a proper brow shape and pigment color that best suits you.

Step 2: Mapping & Drawing

Your artist will then carefully map and measure your brows and draw them on for you to see a live demo of the finished result and make corrections with you before you decide to happily commit.

Step 3: Sanitation Procedure

Before your treatment begins, supplies are all disposable and carefully wrapped following all BBP OSHA guidelines. 

Step 4: Shading Procedure 

During this time there will be topical anesthetic (numbing agents) applied to minimize any discomfort if any at all. This procedure is minimal to 0 pain and will be fully completed in a total of 2 hours.

 Step 5: After Care Instructions

Your aftercare will be advised during your appointment and sent out via email. Your artist will also give you a take home kit including a hard copy of the aftercare instructions along with the healing ointment.

The procedure could take up to 3 hours. Please block off at least 3.5 hours of your time in case.

Pain will vary from person to person. A topical anesthetic will be applied before and during the procedure to alleviate any sensation or discomfort.

Ombre Powder brows are a two step process. A touch up appointment should be scheduled for 6-8 weeks after your initial procedure and is suggested to do touch ups every 6-12 months to maintain color.

All foreign work from another artist will be considered as a correction/cover-up procedure.

If you have any previous work done by another artist, please email photos before booking to ensure that we are able to cover up or correct your old tattoo. In most cases, not all old tattoos are fixable.

Please send three (3) clear photos of your full face and brows with no makeup on them, unfiltered, and in natural lighting.

If you book an appointment without sending photos for approval, your appointment will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded. If you send photos after booking and I cannot correct/cover up, your deposit is forfeited.

Guests are not permitted in the workspace during the tattoo service. This helps minimize distractions for the artist and prevents cross-contamination.

Translators are allowed, however, they must not be in the work area during the tattooing service.

RIGHT AFTER PROCEDURE:

Expect some redness and swelling right after the procedure. You may also experience a white halo surrounding the area and this is related to the topical anesthetic used.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Avoid getting your eyebrows soaked in water until your brows are fully healed (when it is done flaking). Healing time varies from 10-14 days. You may wash with water and gently pat dry as needed.

2. Apply a grain size of A&D/Vaseline/Aquaphor ointment using a Q-tip on each brow. Apply the ointment twice a day, morning and night. If you have oily skin, apply once at night.

3. Use a “total sun block” after the procedure area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.

It is crucial that during the healing period that you maintain facial hygiene and AVOID:

• Touching or picking the eyebrows (apply ointment with Q-tip). Picking can lead to color loss, scarring and infection (especially if hands are not clean).

• Getting the brows soaked with water. Accidental splash of water is okay as long as you pat dry with a napkin. It is best to wash your face by the sink prior to showering or you can avoid the eyebrow area when showering.

• Any makeup on the eyebrow area

• Workouts that involve a lot of sweating; sauna, facial massage and steaming

• Sun tanning or salon tanning; swimming; excessive sun exposure (wear a hat when outside for a longer period)

• Drinking alcohol in excess (may lead to slow healing)

*Failure to follow these instructions may result in pigment loss and/or infection

Microblading uses a hand tool to create fine, hair-like strokes, while ombre powder brows use a machine to place tiny dots of pigment for a soft, shaded look that resembles filled-in brow makeup. Powder brows tend to last longer and suit most skin types, including oily skin, which is why Luxy Beauty focuses on powder brows instead of microblading. With good aftercare, powder brows can last up to 2-3 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle. It’s recommended to come for an annual touch up to maintain your color.
